Remedial Massage
A deep tissue massage consisting of a combination of more superficial and deeper work on the tissue, trigger point release and neuromuscular stretch facilitation to improve range of motion if required. Remedial massage therapy has been designed to dissolve tension that has been locked inside your body for a while. By applying more pressure, I work (using our thumb, knuckles, elbow or underarms) on the deeper layers of your body. As a result you will walk away from this massage feeling loosened up and more relaxed in your body.

After listening to the reason that brought you in and as well as noting the history of your complaint, a relevant postural and musculoskeletal assessment is performed to determine what could be contributing to your symptoms so that so that the massage can be most effective.
The treatment then focuses on easing your immediate symptoms while improving your body’s overall structural/functional balance.
Two or three sessions are usually enough to either provide relief of your symptoms or confirm whether or not this is the right approach to your problem.
You may also be looking for a general maintenance massage to improve the body’s blood flow and circulation and help the body less stiff and reinvigorated.
After your visist it is recommended that you stay well hydrated to help the body deal with the waste products. A herbal tea is on offer as you soak in the forest surrounds.
During the cooler months it is wise to bring something warm to wear for after the massage. It is a few degrees cooler at Mount Glorious and for lasting benefits of the massage it is good if the muscles and especially the shoulder girdle, can stay relaxed.

Ranging from low impact to high impact exercise with the choice to work with more or less support to work on control of the body’s stabilising muscles. Pilates reformer can provide a very enjoyable and also challenging workout that can target every muscle from head to toe.
Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates exercise focuses on strengthening the core muscles of the body. It is a low-impact form of exercise that uses a variety of exercises to target the abdominal, back, hip and shoulder muscles. The exercises involve a combination strengthening exercises where mobility in combination with breath challenge the body’s stability. Pilates exercises are designed to improve posture, balance, flexibility, and overall strength. It is a great way to improve overall health and fitness and supports the body’s functional movement needed in daily life as well as a performing other sports.
